About All4Mum

My name is Lorraine Harding and I am the founder and senior consultant of All4Mum. My career in the nursery industry began in 1997, when I started work as a retail sales assistant in a baby goods store. I went on to manage a number of different stores and later worked as a sales representative for a leading Queensland nursery supplier.

I started All4Mum when I recognised a growing need for expert, independent advice on nursery furniture. Many couples were complaining about the differing product advice they were receiving from various sources. More and more couples were leaving the setting up of their nursery til the last minute, as work commitments kept them busy until the ninth month. They didn’t have time to trail through countless rows of prams in half a dozen shops.

I have always been interested in nursery product safety, but that interest became a passion in December 2000 when my three children were involved in a serious motor vehicle accident. I had thought at the time that they were sufficiently restrained. How naïve I was!

Thankfully their injuries weren’t life threatening, but it taught me a valuable lesson in how precious and fragile a child’s life is. As such, I hold a NSW certificate in checking and installing child restraints and All4Mum’s main focus has been and always will be, keeping children safe by using appropriate products and using them correctly.

Having experienced a normal hospital birth, a home-birth, a caesarean section and severe post natal depression and having worked in the nursery industry for almost a decade, there is hardly an area of parenting or nursery that I don’t have experience with or have contacts in.
