All4Mum Services

Private Consulting

Which description best fits you?

  A. Too busy to spend time searching the internet or trailling through countless shops.

Just two hours in a baby goods store with an All4Mum consultant and you will gain more useable knowledge than an entire week on the internet. Whether you purchase everything yourself or save yourself more time by getting All4Mum to purchase, deliver and set up, is entirely up to you.

  B. Overwhelmed by the number of choices available.

Just one session with an All4Mum consultant will de-mystify all those nursery products and empower you to make your nursery purchases with confidence.

C. On a tight budget and can't afford to waste money on unnecessary purchases.

'What to Buy for Baby' lists are everywhere. For an example of one, click here. If you were to purchase everything on one of those lists, even if you bought the cheapest of everything, you will have spent hundreds of dollars unnecessarily. We know from experience that some of those items will remain in their boxes and never be used. But how do you know which items are necessary? All4Mum can turn your 'What to Buy for Baby' list into a personalised 'What I Need for Baby' list.

  D. Due to unforeseen circumstances, have suddenly been thrust into fulltime parenthood.

Sometimes we can become parents when we don't expect it and our emotions aren't always warm and fuzzy, instead they feel more like panic and desperation. For whatever reason you find yourself stressed over imminent parenthood, a consultation with All4Mum will take the panic out of your nursery purchases. Decisions can be made based on informed choices, not desperation.

Nursery Product Safety Workshops

Every year in Australia, approximately 6500 babies will be injured through nursery product use/misuse. 540 babies will be admitted to hospital and 10 will die. For your baby's sake, it is imperative that you know how to use your nursery products correctly and safely.

In 2005 many changes have been planned to Nursery Product Safety Standards. Tragically, because of an infant's death last year, some have already happened. Where will you find out what these changes are and how they will impact you and your baby? At the last Nursery Product Reference Group Meeting chaired by the Office of Fair Trading, only five manufacturers and two retailers were represented. All4Mum was there.

We conduct Nursery Product Safety Workshops in various locations throughout South East Queensland.* At one of these workshops you will hear about any planned changes to Safety Standards. You will discover what a correctly installed child restraint should look like in your vehicle and how to safely move it from one car to another (read the car park survey results below). You will learn where not to place your baby's cot and why. You will hear which common nursery products are the most dangerous (accounting for nearly 30% of all injuries and no, it's not walkers), and what you can do to minimise the risks. Plus much, much more.

Workshops are not just for pregnant couples. Grandparents and day-care providers will also find them useful. Anyone planning on using second-hand goods should make attendance at a workshop essential before they buy anything.

If you would like All4Mum to present a workshop at your community group or workplace, contact us for an obligation free quote.

* Minimum numbers apply.

Mobile Child Restraint Service

  • Research has shown that an approved and correctly fitted child restraint can reduce the risk of death or serious injury in road crashes by up to 70%.
  • Carpark surveys of child restraints have revealed that almost 7 out of every 10 restraints inspected were incorrectly fitted, with one quarter of those so badly fitted, that in the event of an accident they would put the child at risk of death or serious injury.
  • A collision at 40kph is classed as 'severe'. The resulting injuries to an unrestrained child would be the same as a fall from a two storey building. A collision at 60kph would have the same effect as a fall from a four storey building.

When you invest a large amount of time and money into purchasing a safe child restraint for your baby, it makes sense to ensure that it is correctly fitted into your vehicle. But just having it correctly installed isn't enough. You need to know how to fit it safely yourself, for those times when you will be taking it out of one car and putting it into another.

All4Mum consultants are qualified to install and check child restraints, but we don't stop there. We will ensure you know what every bell and whistle on your restraint is for and how to use them to keep your baby safe.

At All4Mum, we realise that business hours are different for everyone. To make qualified fitting more accessible, our child restraint services are mobile. We will come to your home or office at a time that is convenient to you. Prices start from just $20.00.
